I had the privilege of attending the ISGT Latin America Conference from September 16 to 19, where I presented my research: “A Novel Adaptive Mathematical Morphology Protection for High Impedance Faults” is a methodology designed to detect high-impedance faults in systems with inverter-based resources (IBR). In addition to sharing my work, I participated in several tutorials and presentations from other researchers. These sessions provided valuable insights into emerging trends in power system analysis with IBR integration, deepening my understanding of the challenges in system planning and operation. This experience not only broadened my perspective but also helped me define the next steps in my PhD research.
